The Conservatoire celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. Its professionally qualified, experienced teachers are also practising artists, actors, directors and musicians.

From SoundStart for the under 6s to our unique Roundabout and Fanfare courses through to our choirs and ensembles, children are encouraged to enjoy making music together.

The art classes start children on a journey of discovery in the visual arts, whilst the drama courses offer the opportunity to explore their creativity whilst developing confidence and the ability to work as a team. It also encourages a lifelong enjoyment and understanding of literature and the theatre.

There are regular holiday courses in art, music and drama for 4-16s during school holidays and free taster sessions for under 4s.

Youth CREATE was established in 1987 and exists to enable young people between the ages of 1 to 25 of all abilities to develop their full potential creatively and socially, through all aspects of creative and performing arts. Creative opportunities throughout the workshop programme include drama, theatre and technical skills, improvisation, text work, mime, creative music, singing, instrument work, movement, dance, visual arts, writing, circus skills, face painting, video making, audio recording, set design and craft.

Step Up is a part time stage school for children aged 4-22 yrs and operates every weekend during term time. Nathalie Richardson and her experienced staff are dedicated to providing quality education in the 3 main disciplines of the performing arts: Dance, Drama and Singing. Step Up group Soul Mates recently won Comic Relief does Glee Club on BBC1 in March. As a result, Step Up will be starting its own Glee Club Choirs in September 2011 in Blackheath. Art Barn offers young children the opportunity to build confidence, imagination and creativity through art and drama. Based in Kensington, the classes are suitable for children from 16 months to 8 years and are led by experienced teachers. The classes are small in order to give the children time to settle and build confidence.

We offer term-time classes in Creative Drama and Messy Art for 16 months to 3 years, Art and Craft for 3 to 7 year olds, Drama for 3 to 5 year olds, After-School Art Classes for 5 to 7 year olds and Saturday art workshops. theatremonkeys is a vibrant and friendly theatre school offering weekly classes in singing, dance and drama to ages 4 to 18 yrs. In addition we also offer fantastic holiday workshops and LAMDA examination tuition in Acting & Musical Theatre. We run classes after school Monday-Thursday and also on a Saturday morning all based in a beautiful working theatre (Haslemere Hall) in Haslemere, Surrey.

We are very proud of our staff who between them bring a wealth of professional experience to the school which means the children benefit from their passion and working knowledge of professional theatre. All staff are CRB checked to an enhanced standard.

Hazelle Stage School has been established for 40 years.

A fully qualified team offer Tap, Ballet, Aerobics, Modern and Jazz classes for children from the age of 3.

Classes are small, maximum 15 children. Many pupils move into careers in the theatre and TV.

Dramarama Stage School offers exciting fun-packed Performing Arts courses for children during term-time and school holidays. Our friendly and experienced teachers are professional Actors, Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Choreographers and Writers ensuring a thorough training in the Performing Arts.

During term-time Saturday Morning classes are held at Holy Trinity School, Trinity Walk, Off Maresfield Gdns, NW3 5SQ as follows:
10.00am to 11.00am: Drama (3s/4s & 5s/6s ) & Street Dance (7 to 11s)
11.00am to 12 noon: Trinity Guildhall Drama Exam Classes for (7 to 12s)
12.00 noon to 1.00pm Musical Theatre Classes (7 to 12s)

Street Dance shows in West End Theatres:
We offer 7 to 15 year olds the chance to take part in exciting Dance Shows twice a year. Once a year our dancers take part in productions that are staged at either Her Majesty’s Theatre or The Sadlers Wells Theatre. In July we produce a special Summer Street Dance Show in North London.

School Holidays:
Dramatots, (3s & 4s) join specialised drama courses which include Drama Games, Plays and Dressing Up.

Drama, Street Dance and Musical Theatre Courses offer 5 to 12 year olds the chance to take part in Plays, Dance Shows and Musical Productions. Young performers are trained in performance skills which are put into practice in our stunning shows.

Plus two week intensive Drama Exam Course for 7 -17 year olds during the Summer Holidays.

Birthday Drama or Street Dance Parties also bookable.

Dramarama is registered with Ofsted.

We are a regional centre for R.A.D. and I.S.T.D. examinations and offer a wide range of lessons starting from nursery aged children through to adults.

Nursery classes for 3+ for Ballet and Tap are held on Saturday mornings.
