Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre

We have two dance schools run by a team of fully qualified teachers. The Junior school was established in 1966 for children aged three to eight offering RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. Children then graduate to:

Senior school established since 1986 for eight to eighteen year olds offering RAD Ballet, Grades up to grade 8 and Majors, ISTD Grades and Majors in Tap and Modern and Jazz medal levels. We offer musical theatre classes for children aged eight upwards.

The school works in close conjunction with the local theatre enabling the children to perform in several professional productions each year.

The City Dance Academy

We offer a variety of fun and inspiring dance classes for girls and boys. All classes are taught by the principal, with the assistance of other qualified and professional dance teachers and performers. Classes can be taken for pleasure or to work towards graded examinations. The academy follows the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus for all exam work.

Our school productions are staged every two years in a west end theatre and all students are encouraged to participate. Our summer school is also held every year during the month of August as well as work shop classes that may include belly dancing, acrobatics, salsa, hip-hop, national folk and ballroom. Prize giving is held every december and trophies are awarded to those that have deemed to have worked the hardest throughout the year.

The school was established in 1992 and since then it's students have gone on to study at performing arts and musical theatre colleges to train as professional dancers and or teachers. Past students include Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley - Harry Potter) and X - Factor winner Liona Lewis!

The schools founder, Jay Aston, was one of the original members of the highly successful pop group, Bucks Fizz. Spring School of Ballet

Established for over 15 years the Spring School of Ballet offers tuition in Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance to children from 2½ years upwards.

Our team of fully qualified teachers follow the RAD syllabus in over 40 classes. Established for 20 years we teach dance to children aged from four to adults. Frances Lundy School of Dance

The Frances Lundy School of Dance has been established since 1984 offering dance classes for both boys and girls in RAD Ballet from two years of age and ISTD Modern and Tap from five years of age.

Pupils are grouped according to age and ability in small friendly classes. We work closely with all our pupils enabling us to spot potential at an early stage. All our teachers are ISTD or RAD registered, our pupils are encouraged to work towards examinations and presentation classes. The school presents a theatre performance every three years in which every child has the opportunity to dance. Pupils who show exceptional ability are encouraged to audition for vocational schools at eleven years of age.
