The Ice Factor, York’s open air ice rink returns for its fourth successive year from 15 November 2008 until 4 January 2009.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Clifford’s Tower in the centre of York, and framed by the Castle Museum and the Law Courts, the 600 sq m rink of real ice enjoys one of the most picturesque settings in the country for outdoor skating.
The Ice Factor is made all the more festive with York’s biggest Christmas tree, heated rinkside Ice Bar & Café, log cabins, theatrical lighting and the oak tree in the centre of the rink sparkling with fairy lights. There is also a public viewing area and a heated skate hire marquee.
