Built in 1898 as a water tower serving Winchester, The Tower has seen many changes in its 100 year history. These days it heads an increasingly varied arts programme for Winchester and the wider community.
The Tower is home to the Winchester Youth Theatre, the hugely successful Winchester Children's Festival and also produces a special seasonal newsletter which goes into all local junior and primary schools. COmotion is a fresh and innovative evening performing arts school specialising in dance, singing and drama. The classes are held at Connaught Junior School Bagshot, Surrey. At COmotion Theatre School the classes focus on building self confidence enhancing creativity and developing core skills in acting, dance, musical theatre, singing, film acting, film making, directing, choreographing, audition technique, stage craft, voice and performing to an audience. All classes are taken by experienced teachers with professional industry training.
Each week the students attend two 45 minute classes back to back, one in drama and one in musical theatre. These two classes allow us to combine the three central disciplines of acting, dance and singing as well as a huge variety of other performance disciplines.
We believe the only way a student can develop as a performer is to perform and we work towards putting on a large production each year. We also offer guidance and support to those who wish to take it further.

Youth Music Theatre UK is the country's biggest and most active of music theatre courses for young people. If you're aged between 11 and 21 and have a passion for acting, singing, dancing or playing an instrument, YMT is for you!
You could spend your Summer holiday working with other like-minded young people and a team of professional directors, choreographers and musical directors to stage your own musical in one of the country's best theatres or festivals!
Chrystel Arts Theatre School is based in Edgware (north-west London/Middx) and offers part-time classes for children and students in Drama, Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap and Singing.
It is run by sisters Christine Minter and Elaine Twining and provides a safe, friendly environment which promotes fitness, confidence and self-expression through the Performing Arts, focusing on technique, performance skills, discipline and enjoyment.
There are regular shows, performances and demonstrations, and pupils can take exams if they wish – or just come and enjoy a class with friendly, experienced teachers. Established for 20 years we teach dance to children aged from four to adults. We encourage each pupil to reach their full potential and pupils have the opportunity to take exams and take part in the school shows. Our classes that run in North Abingdon- Wed-Fri after school and all day on Saturdays range from beginners to preparation for entry into Dance and Performing Art Colleges.
Between 2000-2008 12 students won scholarships to study at Arts Educational London, Bird College, RADA and Mountivew. Past students perform in the West End in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Carousel and Gethsenane at the National Theatre.
Workshops and Holiday Courses Currently, Dramatica runs workshops in Windsor, Chalfont St Giles and Finchley and we are looking to open more in the next few months. Classes are for 6-10s and 11-18s and look to specifically develop performance skills within drama and music, as well as building on confidence and social skills.
We also run workshops during the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays where children work on a show with professional actors and perform at the end of the week.
Parties Bring oodles of drama and excitement to your child’s party! From age 3 and above Dramatica has a party that you and your child will love and remember for years to come (we even do parties for adults)! All our parties are led by professional, equity registered actors!
Magical Adventure Parties, 3-7 Join us on a Magical Adventure with games, songs, drama and real magic as we write a bespoke party on a theme just for your child! These parties are fully interactive and everyone takes part all of the time.

Murder Mystery Parties, 9 + All the fun of fancy dress with the added drama of a murder! Including games, role play and a performance to ensure that each child is truly transported. A full 2 hour entertainment package!
Founded in 1999, Dance Machine offers theatre dance & drama education to all ages and abilities - the youngest student is 3 years old. There are also two weekly drama workshops for Juniors & Teens - drama is operated by Drama 2000.
Children are prepared for IDTA theatre dance examinations and Guildhall Speech & Drama Exam Awards in addition to local, national and International competitions and performance opportunities.
Aston Theatre Arts teaches children to sing, dance and act at weekends along side the normal school term. There are no auditions; all you need is lots of enthusiasm. Classes offered; Baby Ballet - (2˝-5years) and Singing, Dancing & Drama - (5-16 years in Hayes School).
The schools founder, Jay Aston, was one of the original members of the highly successful pop group, Bucks Fizz.
