COmotion is a fresh and innovative evening performing arts school specialising in dance, singing and drama. The classes are held at Connaught Junior School Bagshot, Surrey. At COmotion Theatre School the classes focus on building self confidence enhancing creativity and developing core skills in acting, dance, musical theatre, singing, film acting, film making, directing, choreographing, audition technique, stage craft, voice and performing to an audience. I have been running fun filled confidence building camps for children aged between 5 to 12 years for over 8 yrs, I have seen many children go from strength to strength along the way. Not all children are born performers, some lack the confidence to’ have a go’ what I set out to do is encourage them to have fun and gain that confidence at the same time.

Debut School of Performing Arts

Debut offers classes in:
  • DANCE – Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and MTV
  • ACTING – Improvisation, Audition classes, Radio technique, TV and Film technique, Monologues and Scene work
  • SINGING –An understanding of music and of the voice. Students work on solo and group pieces – styles include Classical, Modern and Musical Theatre.
Debut’s teachers are the crème de la crème. They are exceptionally experienced and trained and all are CRB checked. Through the structured classes confidence is built, both in the student’s ability and in themselves generally. All children and teenagers aged 6-18 are welcome but class sizes are restricted.

The two schools run exclusively from Brentwood County High School’s purpose built dance and drama studios and music rooms. Many shows are put on throughout the year and often each separate age group will put on their own show.

As a non-compulsory extra the students can have their names on the highly successful Agency, run exclusively for Debut School of Performing Arts. There is no charge to be on the Agencies books. This year Debut has placed students in adverts, in "Cape Wrath" a new TV series, as a featured solo artist at FIFA's Opening Ceremony in Munich and also in their Corporate Film and in "Breaking & Entering" Film with Jude Law and Juliet Binoche.

Youth CREATE was established in 1987 and exists to enable young people between the ages of 1 to 25 of all abilities to develop their full potential creatively and socially, through all aspects of creative and performing arts. Creative opportunities throughout the workshop programme include drama, theatre and technical skills, improvisation, text work, mime, creative music, singing, instrument work, movement, dance, visual arts, writing, circus skills, face painting, video making, audio recording, set design and craft.

Pre-school Music:
1 to 2 yrs: 10.00am - 10.45am Wednesday mornings
2 to 3 yrs: 11.00am - 11.45am Wednesday mornings

Weekly workshops:
4 to 6 yrs: 10.00am - 12.00pm Saturday mornings
7 to 9 yrs: 5.15pm - 7.15pm Tuesday evenings
10 to 13 yrs: 6.15pm - 8.15pm Thursday evenings
14 to 25 yrs: 7.30pm - 9.30pm Tuesday evenings
These sessions are led by a team of experienced, professional workers.
