We offer a range of activities including outdoor adventure activities, drama and dance, arts and crafts and various sport activities. Our activity camps can include traditional sports like football, cricket, basketball or tennis and there are also outdoor pursuits like assault courses, canoeing, kayaking, raft building, treasure hunts, orienteering, and survival skills.

The activities offered give children the chance to learn and experience new things that might not be available to them throughout the school year. It can be a life-changing experience that helps children to grow, not only because they may learn new skills, but they also grow and develop emotionally and mentally. For some it will be the first time they are away from their parents. For others, it will be a much needed break from the pressures of school. Everyone will take away something different from our camps.

Through carefully structured training, babies can be taught life saving skills such as turning onto their backs or, following a sudden submersion, swimming to the nearest solid object. They grow familiar with what it feels like to fall into water, so that should they ever accidentally fall in they are far less likely to panic and drown. And our results speak for themselves. In the last three years alone, at least ten of our tiny clients have saved their own lives as a result of the skills they learnt at Water Babies – and five of them were just two years old at the time. Water Babies has the only baby/toddler swim programme that is accredited by the ASA (the Amateur Swimming Association) and which links directly to the National Plan for Teaching Swimming. Our teachers have either achieved or are working towards the brand new ASA Diploma in Pre-fundamentals in Baby Swimming.

The RAD Training department’s programme of activities runs across the UK, as well as internationally, engaging with local communities, RAD teaching members and dance schools– to widen participation and access to dance.
