La Fille mal gardée

Our colourful new La Fille mal gardée workshops are based on late choreographer Frederick Ashton's much-loved character ballet.

RAD activity for kids

Suitable for ages 5–11, each class will bring the animals of the farm to life, with joyful sequences and movements from the famous choreography to feed young imaginations.

  • 7–8 years: 12.15–2.15pm
  • 9–11 years: 2.45–5.00pm

Boys ballet masterclassRAD boys classes
9 October 2016

This high-tempo dance workshop, focusing on ballet technique and choreography, will be led by former Royal Ballet Soloist, dancer Joshua Tuifua – for boys only!

The masterclasses will develop that all-important core strength, musicality, presentation and performance skills, and will mean those taking part can meet other boys with an interest in dance and movement. This fun and encouraging setting will be accompanied by live piano accompaniment.

  • 7+ years (beginners to RAD Grade 3 level): 10.00am–1.00pm
  • 10+ years (with at least 2 years’ experience/RAD Grade 4 and above): 1.45pm–4.45pm

For young dancers aged 8+, join the Royal Academy of Dance’s non-syllabus masterclasses (for both male and female dancers), which will focus on ballet technique, music and artistry. Classes across the country will start on:

These exclusive classes will enhance dance performance skills and complement previous ballet syllabus work learnt. Students will be grouped according to their current dance level.

Who can attend? Students aged 8+, studying RAD Grade 2 or the equivalent and above

Kings Cross Pop-Up

King’s Cross pop up performance
22 October 2016

Join us at King’s Cross station in London, from 11am–1pm, to see some exciting pop-up performances in a variety of dance styles. Featuring RAD schools from across the country, their performances will include ballet, street dance, contemporary and modern. Inspire your little ones and you may see them dancing on the concourse too!
