I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over ten years experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of emotional, behavioural and neurodevelopmental difficulties. I am experienced in working with children and young people with a range of emotional issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, phobias and low self-esteem.
I have specialised in the last six years in working with children and adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome, high-functioning autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette’s Syndrome. I carry out diagnostic assessments for ADHD and autistic spectrum disorders at the Oxford ADHD Centre (http://www.oxfordadhdcentre.co.uk). I work with young people with these conditions to support them through therapy to understand and manage their conditions as well as to treat specific difficulties such as anxiety, depression and anger.
I work with parents of preschool children on a range of issues including toileting, sleep, feeding and behaviour. I am also very experienced in carrying out intellectual assessments with children and young people. I work collaboratively with children and their families to achieve the best outcomes.
I am always happy to be contacted for an initial conversation to decide whether my input is appropriate. I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professionals Council (no. PYL19659) and British Psychological Society (no. 82247).
