Our contemporary yurts sleep 2-6. They all offer high quality fittings and furniture and a log burner for warmth along with all cooking facilities, solid wooden floor, full size bed or king size in our large yurts and its own outdoor fire pit offering the facility for barbeques. The Contemporary Yurt is topped by a five foot diameter skylight dome giving a light and airy feeling of being part of the great outdoors.

At Hollows Farm we have three yurts and the bell tent and there are two yurts at Seatoller Farm campsite. Both are in Borrowdale, no more than 15min drive from Keswick, which is surrounded, by magnificent mountains and close to the shores of Derwent Water.
It is ideal for families and lovers of the outdoors whether just sitting enjoying views or taking part in the variety of activities nearby.

Facilities for families include accommodation ranging from a camping barn with family shower facilities (sleeping twelve) to luxury yurts (each sleeping up to five) and hand built woodland shacks (each sleeping up to seven). Whilst the experience is essentially rustic, creature comforts and luxuries such as quality linen, heating and a hot tub are all part of the package.
Set in 15 acres of fields, with the camping barn and yurt site adjacent to the farmhouse and the woodland shacks nestled into the trees nearby, the Bivouac Swinton site offers families an idyllic setting in which to roam and explore the big outdoors. Facilities include a family shower and toilet facilities, and a dedicated family room within the cafe, leading out to a child friendly garden.
Activities available for families at Bivouac (either on site or on the surrounding Estate) include bike hire, walking, geocache trails and orienteering, climbing, riding and falconry. Organised events include Forest School days, Foraging for wild edible food and Family Cinema nights. Further afield there are Yorkshire castles, abbeys and stately homes to explore such as Bolton Castle, Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall.
