We have a range of adventures to suit families with children. On many of our self guided cycling trips we arrange bike trailers which accommodate up to 2 children to a maximum of 40-60kgs (depending on specifications), and trail-a-bikes for 4-9 year olds. Our self guided walks are suitable for active children from 8 years old, while our guided Mont Blanc Family Adventure is for children from 7 years. Discounts are usually available for children under 12 years when sharing a room with two adults. We also offer many guided departures.
Our family adventures focus on ‘getting under the skin’ of a country. Dragoman offer two types of family trips.
‘Private Charters’ are adventurous holiday to some of Africa’s best Game Parks and are for families with children aged between 6 – 18 years. Travelling in a purpose-built truck in an exclusive group of up to 21 family and friends, you’ll also be accompanied by 3 crew members and an African camp master. The trips, which offer un-missable wildlife encounters, are between 14 and 16 days long and travel to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
‘Family Adventures’ are for families with children aged between 6 – 18 years wanting to travel for periods of up to two weeks by every means possible including local bus, dug-out canoe, elephants and boats. You travel with other families and interact with local cultures. There are five Asian adventures to choose from: Vietnam, Cambodia, China, Nepal and Thailand.
