Almond Valley Heritage Centre is an award winning museum and learning centre enjoyed by over 75,000 visitors every year. The 16 acre site includes the Scottish shale oil museum, Livingston Mill Farm with friendly farmyard animals including horses, cattle, pigs, goats and more and the Almond Valley Light Railway. Walk along the riverside to the nature trail and explore the burrows, maze and boardwalk. Take a tractor and trailer ride around the cropping field. Children can explore the indoor oilshale adventure play area. For the under fives, there's a soft play area and a pedal tractor course and many other attractions that will guarantee an enjoyable and enlightening day out for all the family.
