The Academy’s vibrant Drama Access Department have designed and now offers a range of drama and musical theatre classes for children and young people aged 6 to 18 years. All classes take place every Saturday in Mountview’s drama training and rehearsal studios. The emphasis of the courses is to build confidence and communication skills while being introduced to and developing a wide range of performance techniques. The Department also offers a diverse programme of Easter and Summer holiday courses.

Baby Story Play
6 months – 2 years
Explore the magic of stories, sounds and words with your little ones in a fun, interactive class that gets you communicating imaginatively with your little ones. A must for mums who are looking for a new exciting class – no more banging the same instruments or singing the same songs…hooray!

Early Years Drama
2 years – 7 years
Our skilled practitioners transport your children into a new and exciting imaginary world each week. Guiding them through each original story creatively, your children will become the sights, sounds and loveable characters together.

Our links with the early learning frameworks make Debutots Early Years Drama a huge hit with nurseries and schools too!

Magical Storytelling: Children are taken on an interactive magical journey led by an actor, where they get to role play and listen to stories of far away lands. Choose from mermaids, witches, knights, pirates, and many more! Or Spy and Cheerleader parties for older children.

Drama parties: Children act and star in their own mini play devised by the children at the party and performed to the parents. Children can pick their own theme or pick from popular stories such as: catwalk models, boy/girl bands, fairy tales, Egyptian sagas...

Magical Adventure Parties, 3-7
Join us on a Magical Adventure with games, songs, drama and real magic as we write a bespoke party on a theme just for your child! These parties are fully interactive and everyone takes part all of the time.

Performance Parties, 7 +
Here, the children are the stars, acting, singing and dancing their way to stage a performance from a classic show for friends and family! (Children also use real microphones!) Choose your favourite show or musical for us to work on!

Murder Mystery Parties, 9 +
All the fun of fancy dress with the added drama of a murder! Including games, role play and a performance to ensure that each child is truly transported. A full 2 hour entertainment package!

Summer School 2011

We have an exciting line up of courses this summer for all ages. There are courses in fashion, street dance, musical theatre, devising and a chance to experience drama school in a week. There is also an all day glee club for juniors where you can learn singing, acting and dancing. At the end of the summer there is a two week production course leading to a full scale performance and adults have the chance to work with director Joy Harrison on putting together a play in a week. Established for over 10 years, Crazee Kids run stimulating classes and workshops for children aged 3-10 years using innovative combinations of Dance, Drama, Music and Art in a relaxed environment. Street Dance shows in West End Theatres:
We offer 7 to 15 year olds the chance to take part in exciting Dance Shows twice a year. Rehearsals for these exciting productions take place on Mondays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at Holy Trinity School NW3 5SQ. Once a year our dancers take part in productions that are staged at either Her Majesty’s Theatre or The Sadlers Wells Theatre. In July we produce a special Summer Street Dance Show at South Hampstead High School, Maresfield Gdns, NW3.

School Holidays:
Dramatots, (3s & 4s) join specialised drama courses which include Drama Games, Plays and Dressing Up.

Drama, Street Dance and Musical Theatre Courses offer 5 to 12 year olds the chance to take part in Plays, Dance Shows and Musical Productions. Young performers are trained in performance skills which are put into practice in our stunning shows.

Plus two week intensive Drama Exam Course for 7 -17 year olds during the Summer Holidays.
