All ballet classes are taught by Tamara, the principal, who is passionate about instilling a love for movement and expression in her students. The use of arms and upper body is definitely a part of training which shows the Russian method at its best. Tamara’s professionalism and creativity is clearly seen in her choreography and in her students’ good working attitude. Her husband, John, is also on hand to teach master-classes to the senior groups and boys classes when the need arises. He has taught at the four major Vocational Dance Schools in London and comes with a wealth of experience.
Girls and boys are accepted from the age of 3. All grades, including Pointe work. ISTD Modern and Tap. Ballet and Adult Tap.
Students participate in Dance Festivals, Fund Raising Concerts, Russian Ballet examinations and our annual School Concert. Pupils can also audition for Vocational Dance Schools, Youth Ballet Companies, Pantomimes and attend Royal Ballet School Outreach programmes.
Summer Dance Week in July is always a very popular and successful event!
Ron and Julie, the principals, encourage students to take part in festivals, shows and competitions all over the country, which adds to their performing experience. Many students have had film and modelling contracts and have performed at the London Palladium.

The masters of the London School of Capoeira encourage the children during the Capoeira lessons to develop their physical abilities through the training of Capoeira which includes Capoeira warm ups, stretching, basic Capoeira acrobatics, turning kicks, evasive movements, mock up sequences and games.
We teach Capoeira as a game of skill, creativity, fun and discipline. We also cover Capoeira as part of the Brazilian culture, teaching Capoeira songs as well as learning to play percussive instruments.

Displays are given at various events and every other year the club presents a large show at the Alban Arena, St Albans in aid of charity.
Children are taught in groups of similar age and experience. Exams are held yearly. If they choose, children can enter Highland dancing competitions in which members achieve excellent results.
