We have two dance schools run by a team of fully qualified teachers. The Junior school was established in 1966 for children aged three to eight offering RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. Children then graduate to:
Senior school established since 1986 for eight to eighteen year olds offering RAD Ballet, Grades up to grade 8 and Majors, ISTD Grades and Majors in Tap and Modern and Jazz medal levels. We offer musical theatre classes for children aged eight upwards.
The school works in close conjunction with the local theatre enabling the children to perform in several professional productions each year.
The schools operate for three hours (90 mins for 4-6 years) each week during term-time, either after school or at weekends. Split into three groups of similar ages, youngsters gain confidence, self-esteem and are able to express themselves creatively and effectively. These skills, acquired while learning the disciplines of dance, drama and singing, do not disappear when they come off stage, they are skills for life.
Stagecoach have been encouraging young talent for over 21 years and is the market leader in delivering fun, safe and imaginative performing arts training for those who just want to express themselves or equally go on to develop a career in the creative arts.
