For young children, CRB checked artists provide things like crafts (puppet making, mask making, lantern making etc), Japanese origami (very popular), African drumming and dance.
For teenagers’, we have lots of terrific party ideas. These include makeup and beauty for teenage girls. Also popular urban arts such as street dance, break dancing and Rapping, graffiti art, Japanese manga art or DJ-ing skills.
We also provide special graffiti art activities including commissions where create a bespoke mural for a child’s bedroom, a garage, shed or play room and so on. We begin by demonstrating to the children, before leading an activity with them.
Our artists / entertainers will travel to, and deliver at your venue (home address or a room booked etc).

Dancefest runs classes and workshops for all ages, for both experienced dancers and people who have never danced before, across the West Midlands.
They include Contemporary, Choreography, Street, Breakdance, Mini Movers, Dance Clubs and Youth Dance. Participants get the opportunity to perform both informally and in the annual showcase.
Dancefest offers extensive education work in schools and colleges, and also coordinates Worcestershire Dance Teachers, to provide networking, support and CPD opportunities for teachers, dance workers and students working with all Key Stages and in Higher Education.
Dancefest leads many projects each year. These vary in size and scale, from one off workshops to site specific performances.
Work is undertaken for community groups, including organisations working with the elderly, disabled people and young people, and it also provides performance and participation opportunities and information for young dancers and choreographers.
Dancefest also designs and manages its own projects, which include Jigsaw, an annual integrated performance project involving disabled and non-disabled performers, the creation of dance films and site-specific work.
Dancefest leads Worcestershire Dance Promoters, which brings together the county’s venues to work on audience development, programming and participation.

On Saturdays, the studio plays host to PSSA (Pop School & Stage Academy); renowned for its fresh, performance–driven approach that nurtures natural talent in acting, singing and dancing. Classes are split into age groups (3 – 18 years) and move between all three disciplines to help develop all–round skills. Diddy Dancers begins a wonderful journey into dance and creative movement. Boys and girls learn the basic technique for dance and movement to music. The emphasis is on fun and your Diddy Dancer can learn the joy of dance! This is a parent and child class.
MINI MOVERS for 3 years to 5 year olds - 30 Minute class
We incorporate fun with a bit more emphasis on learning basic dance moves. More Ballet is introduced and also Modern Theatre dance. The emphasis is still on enjoyment within a structured and disciplined class. Mini Movers learn movement through music, rhythm, freedom of movement and exploring how to co-ordinate all these wonderful and exciting things.
NEXT STEPS for 41/2 to 5 years + - Hour class
Tap dancing is included to accompany the Ballet and Modern Theatre syllabus. Children show a great sense of enjoyment while exploring co-ordination between their hands, arms, feet and head movements in the three disciplines. As they progress through this class they will be learning syllabus work with a view to taking (optional) exams in each subject.

We encourage each pupil to reach their full potential and pupils have the opportunity to take exams and take part in the school shows. Our classes that run in North Abingdon- Wed-Fri after school and all day on Saturdays range from beginners to preparation for entry into Dance and Performing Art Colleges.
Between 2000-2014 14 students won scholarships to study at Arts Educational London, Bird College, RADA and Mountivew. Past students perform in the West End in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia, Woman in Black .Chicago. Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. 6 students won places to appear in English Youth Ballet’s production of “Swan Lake” 2013.

Displays are given at various events and every other year the club presents a large show at the Alban Arena, St Albans in aid of charity.
Children are taught in groups of similar age and experience. Exams are held yearly. If they choose, children can enter Highland dancing competitions in which members achieve excellent results.
Prices are reasonable and classes are held in the centre of Harpenden.
The Dance Factory shop has a wide range of goods including jazz and ballet shoes, dance and exercise wear.
