Our friendly family run nursery is owned by Janet Clark NNEB who has had over 25 years qualified experience and daughter Demetra who has NVQ (level2) and has just completed a (level3) qualification.

STAFF:
Our staff are trained nursery offices, holding NNEB certs, NVQs and experienced nursery assistants. We also offer practical training experience to students from local colleges and schools. Janet Clark Co-Ordinator, also holds an adult education tutor certificate to assist with staff training.

The staff:child ratio is as follows: Babies (under 2yrs)= 1:3; 2-3yrs=1:4; 3-5yrs=1:8

Hours:
Haslewood Nursery is open between 8am-6pm Monday -Friday, including school holidays, except for Bank Holidays and one week at Christmas.

The sessions are as follows: Full time 8am-6pm; Part-time 8am-12.30pm/1pm-5.30pm. An hourly rate is available.

Due to demand a large 50 place nursery will be opened on the Rosedale Sports Club in Cheshunt shortly. Any enquiries for either nursery please phone the above number.

Within the caring, stimulating environment and with a new team of qualified nursery nurses and teachers children are able to grow in social and academic skills. There is a structured learning programme for children aged 3 and above which involves educational activities in small groups. During group time we incorporate the national curriculum's six early learning goals.

The Kiddies Academy is registered with Ofsted and can offer funding towards the cost of fees for children 3 and above. Our Ofsted inspection in July 2008 gave us a glowing report and the nursery received the rating of gold in all categories.

We provide sessional care on Tues (9.15 – 11.45) Wed (12.15 – 2.45) and Fri (12.15 – 2.45) for children 2 -5 yrs old. We are registered to receive funding for 3 and 4yr olds so parents may apply for their childrens placement to be funded.
