Au Pairs:
Our male and female Au Pairs come from all over Europe. They are aged between 17-27 years and want to improve their level of English whilst living as part of a host family. They generally work 5 hours a day - 25 hours per week and will also babysit one or two evenings per week. Their responsibilities include general childcare, taking children to and from school, after school care as well as help with light household chores including vacuuming, ironing, washing up and simple cooking. They have their own room and full board plus 2 full days free with additional time for studies and will earn around £60.00 per week. Au Pairs are not employees and are therefore not eligible for tax or national insurance contributions.

Mothers Helps:
Mothers Helps are older applicants who usually work around 40 hours per week and would be paid according to age and experience. Tax and other deductions may be necessary depending on remuneration. They would expect to have at least one full day and one half day free each week. Their duties include care of the children and household chores.

Couples:
Quite often families find that a couple meets their requirements far more than an au pair. Whilst one helps with childcare or general housekeeping duties the other may help with driving, odd jobs, garden duties and household maintenance. The same conditions apply as for the au pairs including pocket money, free time etc
