We have a Funky Fit pre-school class for 2 year olds. From the age of 3, children progress into all areas of performing arts. We offer tuition in modern, ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz, singing, drama and more. Classes in Dance go up to and include GCSE and A’Level standard.

All ballet classes are taught by Tamara, the principal, who is passionate about instilling a love for movement and expression in her students. The use of arms and upper body is definitely a part of training which shows the Russian method at its best. Tamara’s professionalism and creativity is clearly seen in her choreography and in her students’ good working attitude.

Judy Tompsett School of Dance
Established for 20 years we teach dance to children aged from three to adults. We encourage each pupil to reach their full potential and pupils have the opportunity to take exams and take part in the school shows. Our classes that run in North Abingdon- Wed-Fri after school and all day on Saturdays range from beginners to preparation for entry into Dance and Performing Art Colleges.
Between 2000-2014 14 students won scholarships to study at Arts Educational London, Bird College, RADA and Mountivew. Past students perform in the West End in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia, Woman in Black .Chicago. Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. 6 students won places to appear in English Youth Ballet’s production of “Swan Lake” 2013.

The RAD Training department’s programme of activities runs across the UK, as well as internationally, engaging with local communities, RAD teaching members and dance schools– to widen participation and access to dance. If your child is a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, and whether he/she wants to dance for fun or is working towards a career in dance, we have something for everyone. All RAD Registered Teachers are CRB checked.
The RAD offers an internationally recognised portfolio of Examinations which is designed for students of all ages and levels of ability. The Allenova school has been established for over 28 years and in that time it has grown in strength and reputation. The school offers all the usual dance styles of Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical theatre as well as Hip Hop. We cater for tiny little ones from the age of 2 1/2 who are nurtured through their first steps right through to Adults and Advanced 2 level in ISTD (Imperial Society of teachers of Dancing) & RAD (Royal Academy of Dance).
Our examination results are amazing with very high marks achieved in RAD, NATD and ISTD examinations. Many of our pupils go on to win medals in festivals, Competitions and All England Dance. DIDDY DANCERS for 2 to 3 year olds - 30 Minute class
Diddy Dancers begins a wonderful journey into dance and creative movement. Boys and girls learn the basic technique for dance and movement to music. The emphasis is on fun and your Diddy Dancer can learn the joy of dance! This is a parent and child class.
MINI MOVERS for 3 years to 5 year olds - 30 Minute class
We incorporate fun with a bit more emphasis on learning basic dance moves. More Ballet is introduced and also Modern Theatre dance. The emphasis is still on enjoyment within a structured and disciplined class. Mini Movers learn movement through music, rhythm, freedom of movement and exploring how to co-ordinate all these wonderful and exciting things.
NEXT STEPS for 41/2 to 5 years + - Hour class
Tap dancing is included to accompany the Ballet and Modern Theatre syllabus. Children show a great sense of enjoyment while exploring co-ordination between their hands, arms, feet and head movements in the three disciplines. As they progress through this class they will be learning syllabus work with a view to taking (optional) exams in each subject.

Founded in 1988, the Jill Bridger School of Dance offers tuition in classical ballet, modern threatre dance, tap and natural movement for children from the age of two. Jill is registered with and accredited by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Imperial Society (ISTD) and the National Association of Teachers of Dance (NATD).
The school timetable includes ‘Melody Movement©’ classes for children aged 2 to 4. This syllabus is carefully structured to develop creativity, musicality and co-ordination with an emphasis on expression and enjoyment through music and movement.

Our fully qualified and experienced teachers encourage all abilities to reach their full potential in structured lessons with the emphasis on learning through fun in a relaxed environment. Our facilities include four large mirrored dance studios all with fully sprung floors and a dancewear shop.
Every 3 years all students are invited to take part in our end of summer term show. All pupils are also given the opportunity to enter both group and solo performances in the Brighton and Worthing Festivals. School holiday courses are held every half term and summer given children the chance to take part in all aspects of dance, drama and singing, culminating in a performance for family and friends.
Experienced and enthusiastic teachers in a welcoming environment. We hold lessons in Malvern on a Wednesday and Saturday, In Ross-on-Wye on a Tuesday and Thursday and Hereford on a Monday and Friday. The lessons are held by term and every two years we put on a production on stage in which all the children can participate.

We consider that we are the only vocational school in the area. Many of our children are selected as Junior, Mid and Senior Associates of The Royal Ballet School.
