French & Spanish classes for children Share

Established since 1983. Give your Child a Skill for Life.

What’s on 4 Kids 2017 Awards – Voted Best National Activity for Children aged 5-12 years old - 4th consecutive year - Voted for by Parents & Children

For over 30 years La Jolie Ronde has been a unique centre for learning not just a second language but a platform for introducing children to the everyday realities of the country and the culture they are studying. Our award winning programme, for 0-12 years, contains stories, action poems, chants, songs and games enabling children to learn whilst having fun! Children progress through the programme and there are different starting points so children can start learning French or Spanish whatever their age following a programme tailored to their age group. Topics are based on real life situations suited to the interest, experience and social development of each age group.

WHY LEARN ANOTHER LANGUAGE?

  • ENHANCE LIFE SKILLS - Speaking another language opens the door to new possibilities & opportunities. Travel and lifelong friendships are built with the people you meet along the way if you're able to communicate easily
  • DEVELOP CONFIDENCE & SELF ESTEEM - Learning a second language is incredibly rewarding and can enrich personal life too. We encourage children to use language in real life situations which in turn will enable them to overcome fears and doubts leaving them feeling much more confident
  • BOOST OTHER LEARNING - Research has found that pupils who study foreign languages, tend to score better at standardised tests than their monolingual peers. This has been particularly noticeable in maths, reading, and vocabulary
  • IMPROVE YOUR EMPLOYABILITY - Our globalised world means companies are constantly expanding overseas plus dealing with clients from all over the world. Speaking a second language enables you to communicate with a broader network

WHY CHOOSE US OVER OTHERS?

With La Jolie Ronde we are a brand you can trust. You have the security, reassurance and guarantee of a long and proven experience of teaching French & Spanish to young children. Our Programmes are used as part of the curriculum in hundreds of top prep schools in the UK and are taught across the world including the USA, Indonesia, Australia, South America, Africa, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Japan

Rugby activity groups for young children Share

“Giving your child a Head Start”

RUGGERBUGS is a fun and exciting pre-school sports development programme based around non-contact rugby for girls and boys, aged 18 months to Six years. It is designed to promote a fun and positive attitude to sport and fitness.

Establish in early 2007 RUGGERBUGS is now one of the leading companies in this field and the first to establish close associations with local rugby clubs to ensure that children can move into mini / junior rugby with ease. An informal yet professional programme, RUGGERBUGS gives young children a fun, safe and non-competitive indoor environment to enjoy a weekly activity, make new friends and develop a love of sport.

The unique RUGGERBUGS ‘Head Start’ programme assists with a child’s foundation stage development and centres on developing basic motor skills through running, jumping, throwing and catching games. Social interaction is also a key concept giving young children confidence, self-esteem.

RUGGERBUGS is different from other organisations because it does not teach children how to play rugby but promotes the game at grass roots level and gives children a “Head Start” in developing skills which they can later go on and develop at club or school level.
