The hotel has its own outdoor heated swimming pool, where children can have swimming lessons from a fully-trained local swimming instructor. There is a pitch and putt golf course, as well as the island tennis court on the hotel’s doorstep. Hell Bay also has its own games room with Nintendo Wii, table football and a pool table.
Families are very much welcomed at Hell Bay – not only is there a baby-listening service in the evenings, children can choose their own eggs for breakfast from the hotel’s free-range chickens.
Boat hire is available on Bryher, from a glass-bottomed rowing boat to small dinghies. Trips on the local boat service are available, either to explore other nearby islands, for fishing or for bird and seal watching expeditions.
Hell Bay was selected as one of the Top 100 Hotels in the World by the Sunday Times Travel Magazine 2010.
