A truly memorable wildlife experience for all the family. A former chalk quarry, near Tring in Buckinghamshire, this reserve has been transformed into a thriving centre for wildlife and supports more than 1,000 species. It boasts panoramic views of the surrounding farmland and Chiltern hills and has become a haven for many migrating birds.
Visitor facilities: visitor centre with displays on geology, wildlife gardening, bee-keeping, the Arable Weed Project and farming, farming museum, numerous bird hides by the lakeside and high on the hillsides, live animals including chickens, guinea pigs and our two Highland cattle. Surfaced car park. Open 10am to 5pm (closed Mondays). No dogs please.
