Banham Zoo is an award-winning family attraction and one of the most exciting wildlife attractions in the country with over 2,000 animals from around the world.
Throughout the day there are plenty of activities to thrill and entertain families, including daily animal feeding talks, ‘Amazing Animals!’ presentations and one of the most exciting ‘Birds of Prey’ displays in the UK! Check out our amazing subtropical house ‘Eureka!’ where free-flying birds and butterflies can be seen amongst the luscious planting. See beautiful big cats such as tigers, snow leopards and cheetahs; spot a huge range of primates including lemurs, monkeys and siamangs or spy some flamboyant feathered friends including flamingos, pheasants, parrots and ibis.
Our ‘Penguin Cove’ offers the chance to see some of Africa’s coastal birds up close – including our flock of black-footed penguins who breed regularly here at Banham Zoo. Also coming this summer, the opening of our brand new enclosure for our black-tailed prairie marmots and our new Chilean flamingo lake!
There are also plenty of activities for families to enjoy including our free Safari Roadtrain, indoor and outdoor play areas, Sky Trek, fun and interactive activities in our ‘Activities & Education Centre’.
